Can Am Lacrosse League Championship Game 3

For Game 3 Onondaga Red Hawks travelled back out to Lockport, NY to take on Tuscarora Tomahawks in the Cornerstone CFCU Arena. Going into game 3, Onondaga was leading the series 2-0. The only two losses Tuscarora suffered all season came at the hands of the Onondaga Red Hawks in the Championship series.

We had a sense of confidence in the Onondaga locker room. Having beat an undefeated team twice in the Can Am Lacrosse League Championship will tend to do that. Lacrosse has a way of humbling the team that thinks they’ve already won. On this day, we did not show up as a Championship caliber team and Tuscarora prevailed.

From offense to defense we could not find our stride and things were not clicking. Some games teams are off, that is why we play a series. At the end of the day the best team will earn the championship. Tuscarora defeated us 14-4. We would need to let the loss sink in, re-evaluate our effort and attitude. Game 4, will take place in less that 24 hours and will be played in the Onondaga Nation Arena, Sunday August 5th at 3:00 pm.

Check out some highlights from game 3 here:

In one clip you will see what seems to be a big hit and a reaction by me. The hit took place after the buzzer of the second period and the opposing player was not seen coming, only felt. The reaction was after these variables were taken into consideration, both players were issued 5:00 minute penalties.
