IBLA National Champions!

Last month I was offered a spot to play with the Philadelphia Phunk in the Intersate Box Lacrosse Association’s National Championship. The squad had several familiar faces I’ve played with in the past for the Onondaga Redhawks like Dan Rogers, Junior Bucktooth and the Twins Klay and Kroy Arnold. Obviously not having played lacrosse since the ALL ceased amidst the pandemic - I was chomping at the bit to play again. I committed to the squad for the weekend of September 26-28 and was ready to lay it on the line for the boys.

Honestly I wasn’t sure what to expect with the IBLA as an organization or the level of competition. I was ready to play the highest level and do what needed to be done to win with the Philadelphia Phunk. Of course I would bring Thrilla Nation along for the ride with my uhwk camera, so you guys could get in on the action! Check out my youtube channel for all of the games and action.

Through some good ol’ fashioned hard work and team work we we able to come out of the tournament crowned the National Champions! We played 6 games altogether that weekend and only lost one in round play to the Minneapolis Wheatkings who we would later go on to beat for the championship. All in all, it was a great experience, some really good competition and a great city to play lacrosse in. I’m continuously grinding to earn a roster spot back in the NLL and always appreciate your support on my journey!
